QUESTION

Can a Vet be sued for malpractice ?

Asked on Feb 28th, 2017 on Animal Law - Florida
More details to this question:
My Vet gave my very healthy an antibiotic injection that killed her 5 days later. it was extremely strong and I believe he gave her a high dose. All she had was a skin infection, nothing life threatening. Had I ever been told how strong it was I would have never allowed it. The drug was Covenia and has caused many deaths. This isn't right, drug company not concerned and neither is the vet. Someone needs to be accountable for this.

Yes - but they are very expensive cases to pursue and not usually done on a contingent fee, so you will have to pay the legal fees out of pocket.
