QUESTION

condo refusing animal support dog

Asked on Oct 24th, 2015 on Animal Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I have a letter from my primary care physician stating why I need to keep my dog for emotional support. I have medical & psychiatric issues for which I am being treated. I live in Florida. The board involved their attorney. I provided 2 letters from PCP. Can they deny me my dog He has been allowed at condo for past 4 years even though he is 2 " over height regulations. They have decided recently to "enforce" the rules due to one barking issue that did not even originate from condo owners who live on premise.

While your condo association has the legal right to seek information such as a letter from a physician, as long as the physician's letter meets certain requirement, the animal should be allowed. You should seek out a Florida attorney who practices animal law.
