QUESTION

Do I still have to pay or be reimbursed for false advertisement?

Asked on Jun 26th, 2017 on Animal Law - New York
More details to this question:
I was given two baby ferrets, and they were advertised to be healthy. They were malnurished (bones showing), dehydrated and had earmites. I have to pay over $200 in vet bills and medicine and upon receiving them, they also had nothing and were extremely filthy. She still wants me to pay her for them, but her advertisement said they were healthy. Doesn't that mean she has to reimburse me? When originally she asked $150 and I had to spend over $200 just to get them healthy again?

Let her sue YOU. You can then counter-sue for your $200 and as long as you can prove you spent it, and why, you'll win.
