More details to this question:
My dog is 13 years old family dog. Really calm and doesnt bother anyone. I met this girl at the casino one night and the girl was nice. I felt bad for her bc she was in an screaming match with her friend at the casino. I knew this girl was bad news but I gave her a chance. She was yelling and cursing completely irate and as much as I tried to calm her down she kept on going. Once we got to my house I realized she was intoxicated and on drugs. She sat down and at this point my dog was on high alert. She bent over to try and give my dog a kiss and my dog bit her in the face. All I saw next was blood. I have no idea who this woman was but I took her to the hospital even held her hand. 0nce I realized that she was planning on staying with me and making plans I bounced. I left her at the hospital after sitting their for hours talking to her. She proceeded to get into fights with nurses she was complete bad news. I made a huge mistake inviting anyone to my house. I have no idea what to do.
If you received a letter from her counsel or from her threatening legal action, turn the matter over to your homeowners insurance for your legal defense. Some insurance policies exclude coverage for dog bites so call the carrier and review your insurance policy terms. Good luck.
