QUESTION

Can a creditor come after house

Asked on May 16th, 2020 on Bankruptcy - Florida
More details to this question:
My mom lives with my sister and her name is on the mortgage. My sister supports the house because mom has a lot of credit card debt and pays most of her social security to it. My sister can’t afford the house unless my mom helps out so my mom stopped paying the credit cards. If she signs a quitclaim over to my sister can creditors still come after the house. Mom is 75 or should mom file for bankruptcy. She is in Florida

Your mother would need to speak with a bankruptcy attorney before she does any type of transfer.  She needs to contact an attorney in her geographic area.  You did not state where in Florida she lives.
