Is a lawyer allowed to charge me an upfront nonrefundable retainer to defend my foreclosure case? I thought I read somewhere that they have to put my money in a trust account until it is earned if they provide foreclosure services.
In my opinion an attorney can charge a non refundable minimum retainer in a foreclosure defense representation. They are not required to put money into a trust account and withdraw it as it is earned.
