Can I get abandoned title for car?

More details to this question:
The vehicle was used as collateral in a loan. Filed for bankruptcy and was discharged. The company was supposed to repossess the vehicle but still hasn't come to get it. Can I get abandoned title for car?

Every state has a different process, and to find out if your state has such a process, I would look at the DMV website in the forms section.

If it is truly abandoned. If they mere chose not to collect it yet, that is their right. Same as on a house, if mortgaged properly by the creditor.
