I file my chapter 7 in 2010 but my case wasn't discharge, it was close. Can I reopen the case and get discharge or what can I do now. All my debt has been write off according to my credit report. My ex-lawyer told me as long as they write off I don't need to reopen the case but now I can't get refinance my property due to that situation. Please help. I am at work all day, please contact me by email. I would like to get this discharge but I worry about i have my primary property from my ex-husband when we divorce. Is it going to affect my property? Please advice and help me to resolve this situation so I can refinace my loan.
Hi Kim,
I can't really answer your questions without knowing why your case was closed without you receiving a discharge. Was there a complaint filed objecting to your discharge? Was it closed without discharge because you failed to file the required form for your post-filing financial management course?
I don't understand your comments about your "primary property".
