Generally speaking you cannot use a bankruptcy to discharge any part of a claim for child support, including interest. However it is sometimes possible to negotiate an arrangement with the child support people where they will compromise on the interest, or give you a longer time to pay it, or you can reach some other kind of arrangement. It's worth a try.

Unfortunately, Chapter 7 bankruptcy does not allow you to discharge interest on a nondischargeable priority debt.
