Civil judgement in nys

Asked on May 07th, 2018 on Bankruptcy - New York
More details to this question:
I'm aware that a judgement in nys is good for 20 yrs, if they were garnishing my wages but stopped when I left that job 8 years ago, does the judgement expire 20 yrs from the date it was enforced or does it expire 20 yrs from the last payment they garnished? Also what are they still entitled to? Bank account? Garnishment? Property? House? It was enforced in 2002 and they garnished my wages for 5 years, I haven't heard anything from them ssince I left that job in 2009/2010. Also what kind if lawyer would I want to talk to about this? I'm looking for real facts about judgement laws in nys.
