QUESTION

Do I have any rights on a property in Mexico that I shared payment with

More details to this question:
I gave my dad $25,000 when he bought a vacation home in Baja Calif Mexico. When he sells it, due to circumstances am I entitled for my return? When I gave him the money, I was caught in a moment, him saying he would put me on the deed that never happened. I know he did put me down as beneficiary, but he could have changed it by now. With all the fees that go to owning property in Mexico, he wants to sell it.

Better late than never, he should grant you at least a security interest in the property now for your contribution.

You can sue dad and hope he agrees with you but otherwise you are out of luck without your name on the deed.
