Legally you are still obligated to pay the rent to your landlord, even if the house is in foreclosure. As long as you remain in the house itself, you owe rent to whoever owns the property during that month. Simply because a home is in foreclosure, does not absolving you of your legal obligation to pay the landlord rent.
I have responded to your inquiry according to the laws of Massachusetts, where my firm is located. Laws can vary significantly from state to state and cases tend to be rather fact-specific, so you are best served by consulting with a knowledgeable attorney in weighing your options.
