QUESTION

How can we sell a foreclosed property?

Asked on Nov 09th, 2011 on Foreclosures - New Jersey
More details to this question:
This is in regard to a property we signed for but was foreclosed. We want to sell the property but the bank said this was not possible since the Sheriff’s sale would be over before papers were signed for the house. This was in 2009. Now we are being sued by HOA. What should we do?

You can try to short sale the property and the bank should not have advised you. You can adjourn sheriff's sale a couple of times to prolong time. But the short sale process takes time.
