The bankruptcy is noted on your credit report for 10 yrs for notice purposes. You will be granted credit right after your discharge and can rebuild your credit your first year, however, the notice will be there for 10 years from the date of filing.

A bankruptcy will stay on your credit report for up to 10 years, but many credit reporting agencies will remove it after 7. But you can start to repair it immediately to mitigate the damage.

Bankruptcy will stay on your credit report for ten years. After ten years it will automatically drop off the credit report.
