More details to this question:
I read online that I can apply to waive this fee, but I was curious how much the fee is. I found some figures online, but they were last updated in 2013. Did the fee change in 2014?

My standard fee for a routine Chapter 7 case is $1,500.00, plus filing fee ?of $306.00.? These fees are not waived, since you are using my expertise and services for your benefit.? You might consult with legal services to see if they would work for you on a "pro bono" basis.

No recent change to filing fees - still $306 but many attorneys also add in the cost to obtain the due diligence credit report & the cost for pre-bankruptcy credit counseling.

Filing fee is $306. If you use a non-attorney to prepare the petition by law they can not charge more than $200. Attorney's fees are usually based upon the complexity of the case.
