How would I be able to collect on a bounced check?

More details to this question:
I have a client that bounced a 6800.00 COD check to us and I am unable to collect. I am wondering what options I have to go after them for our funds.

If they are in the US file a police report .. passing a bad check of that size is a felony.. If they are not local its a bit tougher.. contact an attorney.

Unless you get a judgment against them, your option is a collection agency.

Consult a good collection lawyer. There is a bad check statute providing for attorney's fees and statutory penalties. It has a notice requirement that must be strictly complied with.

You can sue in small claims and notify your local district attorney as a bad check is regarded as fraud.
