More details to this question:
I havent had a raise in 2 years cost or step grade. I have a mortage loan with a finance company that is eating me alive and if I am 5 days late they start calling me and charging me interest everyday, they have threated to forclose on me if I get over 2 months. The loan is for my land and cottage I live in with my granddaughter. I owe 25,000.00 on it and dont see it getting any lower with the interest on I keep getting for being late. I also have some credit card dedts that I had to just let go and not pay that adds up to around 5000.00. I have tried everything I could do to keep above the water but I cannot do it and I am tried of the calls, the creditors will not take what I can pay they want what is due. I would like to know what is my opitions.. I need some help. Thanks for any advise you may share.
Bankruptcy is an option you should explore. Although with the facts you provided it doesn't look like it would do much to alter the payments on your mortgage, most bankruptcy attorneys offer free consults so you should at least explore the option with an attorney in your area to see what it can accomplish for you.
