QUESTION

Massachusetts Foreclosure Process

Asked on May 13th, 2014 on Foreclosures - Massachusetts
More details to this question:
I'm an attorney barred in Massachusetts but currently practicing in Florida. My firm is involved in foreclosure defense and I'm trying to get as much of a sense of foreclosure procedures in Massachusetts as possible. I understand that Massachusetts is considered a non-judicial foreclosure state, but can anyone provide me with some resources or information about what judicial remedies may be available? Effectively, what can an attorney do to help prevent a foreclosure and/or assist a client with securing loan modification? Eventually, we hope to assist clients with their foreclosure defense needs in Massachusetts, with the help of local coverage for hearings and conferences.
