QUESTION

What does an FHA case number mean for us?

Asked on May 06th, 2015 on Foreclosures - Florida
More details to this question:
My husband and I closed on our home in December. We were told that our mortgage note would be sold to another company. To my understanding it has, I have been making my payments to a different lender for 3 months now. The original lender just contacted me to tell me that they need us to come to the office to sign a new mortgage note, due to the FHA case number being inaccurate on the note we signed at closing.

You want advice on documents and letters that I have not seen and cannot read. I would have to see all relevant documents. Go see a local attorney about this before you do anything.
