Landlords typically look for a couple of things when deciding who to rent to 1) any history of domestic violence or criminal activity 2) prior evictions 3) utility disconnects. In over 30 years of representing folks in bankruptcy, none of my clients has complained that renting has been a problem.

Have you looked on Craigslist? This does not seem like a question for a lawyer. Try a realtor.
