My wife is not on my credit cards. Can they come after her in California, if I do not pay them or I die?

If the debts were incurred during the marriage, your community property assets are liable for the debts. That includes your wife's income and any other assets she has which are not deemed her separate property.
Of course this can be resolved by filing a bankruptcy case.
