Hello, I am 20 years old and I have gotten myself into such a mess. I would like to get my life on track now and figure out a solution for my debt. I have almost 8000 dollars in repossession debt due to my Jeep getting repossessed after I was ordered by the doctor to quit work due to high blood pressure in my pregnancy, I have 820 dollars in credit card debt and around another $800 in collections for various bills. I am currently still unemployeed but looking for another job now that my daughter is 2 months old. I just do not know what to do. I feel like my life is ruined. Please help me. I am not usually an irresponsible person I just got myself in a mess.
Your life is not ruined. You have a relatively small amount of debt and there are multiple ways to deal with it, bankruptcy being one--but not the only option.
I suggest you consult with a bankruptcy attorney in your area to evaluate all your options and see what works best for you. It's very possible that bankruptcy will be a good choice.
Good luck.
