More details to this question:
I used to bank with HSBC when in lived in New York City, moved to buffalo in 2013 and found out that there were No locations at all and that they had moved their banks out of the area. I had 2 accounts, a regular checking and a savings. I closed out my accounts since they couldn’t do a bank to bank transfer and they Sent me a check. My problem was they closed out my accounts and kept my saving portions frozen but closed. I’ve been battling for years with no resolve except them telling me” that’s weird, it says your closed but why is your money frozen” I’ve been passed around to different ppl and keep on getting statements with my money dwindling with all the maintenance fees for having it with them. They wanted me to reopen my account but wouldn’t do it with me over the phone, they said they would mail out paper work for me to fill out but never did now I recently got a letter from them saying that they were gonna send my money to the state as unclaimed money. How can I fix this.
