QUESTION

Business accounts for LLCs

Asked on Feb 15th, 2016 on Business Law - California
More details to this question:
Hi, We are about to create a business account for our LLC and wanted to know if it's possible for an LLC to have more than 1 business account and if so, can it be done with more than one bank, for example Chase and US Bank? The company is owned by me and my brother but we're doing business with another partner who is NOT a legal member of the company but we share profits with. We recently filed taxes for the business and we're about to create personal accounts for ourselves. The LLC is a year old. The business was created by our mother so everything regarding the company was made in her name at this moment.

Update Your Profile
If I understand you correctly, the LLC is in your mother's name, you and your brother are partners, but there is a third silent partner?  Please have an attorney and CPA review your organization and correct the legal and tax issues that you have raised.  Having two bank accounts at different banks is the least of your worries.
