Can my landlord shut my business down and evict me in 30 days?

More details to this question:
My contract expired two years ago and he doesn't want to renew my contract. So, I have been paying month to month and now he is giving me 30 days to close down my business and turn in keys. Also giving me a bill of 29,000.00 for interest of two years. Can they do that?
As a month to month business tenant, you probably can be given a valid 30 day notice. It is hird to image how $29,000 of interest can be incurred in two years, and you may wish to have a lawyer look at that aspect.
As a general matter, you have no right to continue to occupy real estate without the consent of the owner. You had a two-year contract. That was the agreement the owner made. Your subsequent holding over has been without the right to do so and the landlord is entitled to have his property back.
