hello, I have registered my small business as LLC in NJ. I want to brand my name which is different than my LLC. how can, or if I can, register my Brand name so I can get my LOgo and labels for my candles. Do I have to register my Brand again and pay? How? Please advise. Asma

Your band name does not have to be the same as the name of your business, and you can market a brand without using it as the name of your business, but if you want to use the brand name to operate your business you may have to file a "doing business as" certificate. It also sounds as if you want to have your brand name protected as a registered trademark, and may also (depending on what your logo is) want to get coipyright protection. You should consult a local attorney who specializes in intellectual property issues.
