More details to this question:
I returned a 2011 Nissan Sentra that I paid 22 thousand dollars. The auto company said I owed 7 thousand more so I returned it. Could I still be held responsible for?

Did the company agree that it would waive any further payments if you returned the car? If not, you are still liable for whatever your contract called for.
