QUESTION

How can I cancel a subscription with Homeaglow (maid service)?

Asked on Sep 28th, 2023 on Business Law - Missouri
More details to this question:
After TV ad for $19 voucher for 3 hrs of cleaning was purchased, since I live outside the city, no cleaner wants the job. Several jobs have been scheduled and canceled by Homeaglow (no cleaner), I want to cancel the service completely. According to their terms/conditions, Homeaglow will charge my debit card (used to purchase voucher) $49 a month for 6 months. No work has been done so far. Can I cancel my card with my bank to avoid more $ going to them that have done no work for me? Even close my account?

Since no one is coming out to clean for you, Homeglow is in breach of contract. You can write them and explain they cannot charge you for something they cannot deliver or you can hire a lawyer to advocate on your behalf. You may want to discuss your situation with a lawyer.  Many lawyers offer a free phone consultation.
