More details to this question:
I contacted a firm in Florida about refinancing my Bank of American mortgage and was told I don''t qualify because of my income.( Heard an ad on the radio ) They referred me to a firm from Conn. and asked me if i minded if someone contacted me. So I get a call from an attorneys office and was told how they are working on a class action suit against BOA.
And if I was interested to get included. I hada a great chance to settle out of court and my current value would be refinanced at 2-4% and a second mortgage of 70,000 would be abolished. Sounds to good to be true. They want 6000. up front. Do class action suits sometimes want monies up front?
A member of the plaintiff class in civil litigation never, ever has to pay anything up front. If there is a legitimate class action suit and you fit the definition of the injured plaintiff class, you will automatically be included. It is very unlikely that a class action suit against a bank will result in a modification of your personal mortgage. Proceed extremely carefully.
