More details to this question:
I rented a commercial space next to a dance studio. Music is very loud. My clients mention it, complain about it when they are getting their makeup done ( i own a makeup studio) We spoke with the property mgr, with the owner. Nothing changes and we are noticing they are provoking us, really trying to give us a hard time i.e, they(its someone who either teachs there or related to that) park right in front of my door and have their car lights and high beams. Yesterday I closed one hour earlier because it was giving me a headache and it was blinding everybody. Management says they will keep talking with the owner and the owner saysshes willing to make it work. We spoke early nest week and today was louder than ever. I told the landlord/management that they either soundproof their walls, move me at their expense to another spot or we will be speaking with an attorney because its clear the studio wont do a thing to work with us. Do I have a way to make them fix the walls? Thanks
You may very well have an argument to be let out of the lease if the landlord does not take steps to sound proof the space. Unfortunately though, there really is not a way to give you a clear answer on where you stand and what your rights are without reviewing your lease agreement.
