This was due to years of harassment from my previous manager. The managers behavior was reported and several member of the department complained about it but very little was done to correct the issue. I had a miscarriage earlier this year due to the hostility in the group, and since I am pregnant again, I feared facing another misscarriage so I decided to quit for my unborn childs safety and my sainity. Can I have the terms of this settlement extended further than what is being offered? I believe I should be offered to be paid and full benefits thru my pregnancy. If possible, I would like to return to work preferably at a different department
Such agreements are negotiable, but you are not negotiating from the position of greatest strength after having voluntarily terminated your employment. You can attempt to extract a more favorable settlement from your employer on your own, or you can engage an attorney to assist you. It is unlikely that your employer will want to re-employ you.
