myself. When I asked the rep to call, he wanted to brush me off and I insisted that he call, so he did eventually. The CSSR called the numb on the pay check stub and asked 3 questions and then hung up the phone bf I could even respond. He told me that the check was a fraud and told me that he had to keep it and that I need to leave and call the company. I did that and AON and JP Morgan Chase told me that the check was not fraudulant and theyhave no right to keep my cheto have the bank rep to call her directly. I went back to the bank and advised the individual to call and he refused and refused to give the check back. I asked for a manager and was advised that the manager had left for the day and that there was not one else to talk to. I asked him 3 times if the person on the phone told him that the check was fradulent and declined to answer the question 3 times. I left there in tears. I felt aweful, disrespected, discriminated against and so much more. I felt violated. What can I do?
Deal with the manager on Monday. If you cannot recover the check from the bank, ask the maker to stop payment on it and send you a replacement check. Change banks.
