QUESTION
If you get fired from a job because you could not get a doctor''s excuse but the job never asked for one before can they be sued for that?

I recently called in to my job to let them know about a sickness i have that would not allow me to do my job as they would want. Before when I called off with this company they never asked for a doctors excuse but now they are, and i''m not sure if they would give me a excuse for diarrhea.

In the absence of an agreement to the contrary, employment in the United States is on an "at will" basis. That means that the employee can be discharged at any time for any reason.
