More details to this question:
i hired double tree hilton hotel to do the ceremony and reception for out wedding. i contacted the hotel with a list of many issues with the reception, and can get written statements from guests to prove said issues. the gm to sum it up basically said we were lying about every issue stated and blamed the dj. i was offered a very small amount back as compensation and would like to take legal action due to his manners.

It depends on what you want whether you can recover something and how much. You would need to get legal counsel and evaluate your case. Additionally, some attorneys may accept a contingent fee, but if the case does not seem strong enough they might charge a flat fee upfront.
