More details to this question:
The owner and manager of a tattoo parlor called Tattoo Shoppe tells you the following tale of woe. A customer named Lydia Bennett arrives at Tattoo Shoppe and informs the tattoo artist on duty that she would like the Chinese characters for "Liberty, Equality and Fraternity" tattooed on her lower back. The tattoo artist takes out a Chinese character "cheat sheet" which has commonly requested symbols, and shows the following characters to Lydia: ¿¿¿ Lydia says "Looks great" signs Tattoo Shoppe''s form contract, pays $125 for the tattoo, and the tattoo is performed. A few days later while picking up a takeaway meal from a Chinese restaurant, Lydia learns from a waiter that her tattoo actually says "stinky tofu." She is extremely upset and has threatened suit against Tattoo Shoppe. Tattoo Shoppe wants to know (1) if they are liable, (2) how much money they might be liable for, and (3) if and how they might prevent any liability in the future.

Most of the lawyers who answer questions here have an aversion to things that look like somebody's business law homework. If you have a real problem, you can consult an attorney on a professional basis.
