More details to this question:
I am currently employed by a company. Last year I signed and turned in all my 401k information. I stopped in today to make a couple changes and the accounting department never filed my paperwork. Therefore, no money was taken out of my payroll and no money was deposited into my 401k. I am really upset by this and I do not know if I have any legal standing on this. If you could advise me on any info that would help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You

It is hard to understand how you were harmed legally and, perhaps more importantly, you do not explain why you didn't notice that no portion of your 2012 salary over the last 11 months has been withheld.
