More details to this question:
Our 17yr old son was extracated from an automobile he was a passenger in after a drunk driver also under the influence of cocaine hit them. We were not notified until he had already been treated by hospital ER ambulance took him too. Outraged at fact it was NOT the hospital that notified us but our own son from his cell saying he was being released. He received stitches in his forehead and had a huge egg size lump in the back of his head. The physician in hospital ER assured us no concussion stating he was not knocked unconscious as well as no broken bones stating they did mri due to.large lump and swelling of his knee. Refused to admit him to observe. Our son told us he was unconscious which was quite obvious ie: stitches. Next morn severe pain in his abdomen. Due to weekend were told see prim dr monday. Prim told us it was bruised rib. 2days later my son was in excruciating pain i demanded dr see him. Had broken rib, poss TBI & new mri done also poss knee dmge 3 dr misdia

The primary case is against the drunk and drugged driver even if some of your sons injury is due to the Hospital mistreatment. The hospital may have additional responsibility if they did not take proper care under medical standards for your son, but the damages will be only those that were made worse by their improper actions.  Feel free to call for a free consultation.  Adler Law Group, LLC  860-282-8686
