My ex-girlfriend has made a false accusation of harassment through my university, and continues to spread rumors about it. Do I have a case?

More details to this question:
She made a false allegation of harassment before the school. The case officer decided to rule the allegation to be fasle, however I understand she still tells others that it was true. She also is slandering me by spreading false rumors about my interactions with her. I don''t necessarily want to take this to court, but I would like it to stop. The university refuses to take action, and insists that I get legal assistance to make her stop. Do I have grounds to at least have a cease and desist letter sent to her to make it go away?
Anybody can send a cease-and-desist letter to anyone; whether it will work depends on how threatened the recipient feels. As a general matter, a court will not issue injunctive relief against future speech, but you can recover damages for injury to your reputation for past speech. See an attorney.
