More details to this question:
We have a small business split 50%/50%. I trusted him with the account ,but he paid off all his home bills and more. We own the property, but our business is now in debt as he didn't pay taxes and now we have a lien on the property. I have proof on paper of funds that he stole. What and how is the best way to pursue this? He doesn't know that I know. He is my brother and now I am an emotional mess and need help and don't know what kind of attorney to turn to. What can I get out of this or am I stuck with all debts, even though he pushed the business into the ground ?
You are not going to sue your brother. Courts do not like these suits. Moreover, your brother doesn't have the money, otherwise he wouldn't have needed to steal it from you. Confront him over it and enter into a repayment plan.
