My VA Service Cat was cruelly attacked and killed intentionally I know this a Hate Crime Discrimination and Animal abuse one of the owners of the 2 pit bulls i saw that day belonged to the hispanic male who threatened me with bodily harm he also harassed me I have PTSD and this has severely triggered me I am absolutely grief stricton and devastated about my VERY SPECIAL/CHERISHED cat and family mbr They have NO RIGHT ! Marshals wont do anything they wouldnt even help me get him off my back so called neighbors property he owns a cst he wouldnt let me trap or get him off his property thats ENDANGERMENT !! I am livid and need help now this happened last September ! I have documentation and security cam footage and proof of who did it they just covered their tracks is what they did I was also slandered by another so called neighbor who collaborated with the one who endangered him i was falsely accused of reporting one of the 2 dog owners for burning trash which is illegal Cowards!!
I'm sorry to hear about this disturbing and tragic incident. However, since animals are treated as chattel or property, you can only recover economic damages and not emotional distress damages for your mental anguish. This may come as a shock but that's what the law in almost every state allows. Accordingly, it is going to be very difficult for you to find counsel who is wiling to take on this case.
