More details to this question:
Under no circumstance can I take off, I called and report him to hr. It was for that reason and for many others. I was being blamed for everything in the office, internet down, cold in the office, coming to work sick ect. So my manager called me to ask why I called hr. I said my reasons. He stated we will have weekly meeting 4 til we get u off pip. We had weekly meetings 3 of them. On April 18 he called me in the office to sign off on the pip as of 4-20-12. On 4-20-12 I was called in the office and terminated. I was shocked. Completely . I feel it was a retaliation idk. I need advice. This is in Delaware .
Unless you have an employment contract or similar arrangement, you are an "at will" employee whose employment may be terminated at any time for any reason or no reason at all. It doesn't sound as if the "retaliation" about which you complain is founded on a prohibited basis (such as your exercise of legal rights or membership in a protected minority group).
