Unfortunately, the legal system in the United States does not provide a remedy for every insult or injustice. Because the statements that were made to you did not cause you any meaningful harm (in a financial sense), the opportunity for you to sue and obtain a recovery is not good. Moreover, it is not clear that you were discriminated against in a legally recognized way, since you weren't denied employment or excluded from any financial benefits on the basis of your membership in a protected group. I'm sorry you were treated this way -- it was awful and inexcusable. You are already received an apology. I don't think you should count on much more from the legal system.
