Recall Toyota 2001 re frame.

More details to this question:
Son received letter regarding recall; at the time of the letter he was undergoing rather severe mental issues. Did not take vehicle in to business. Now found that truck has whole in the frame. Vehicle was taken in for regular oil change, etc. at no time did they mention the recall. Now have a vehicle with low mileage but the unsafe frame.. question.. where do I stand legally.

Without understanding when the recall was issued and what it provides for, it is impossible to answer this question. As a general rule, an auto manufacturer has very limited liability for defects in a vehicle that is nearly 12 years old.
