I was let go from my job due to complaints that came from my use on social media Web sites. There is no employee handbook and I was not told that I could not state my opinion or feelings on social media sites.. my boss fired me due to he got complaints from another competitor in the same field of work I was in about my behavior on social media. .

Absent a contract which restricts your employer's right to fire you, it can terminate your employment at any time and for any reason other than a reason which is prohibited by statute (e.g. race, religion, gender, etc.)
