was lied to

More details to this question:
i worked for this place for 5 yrs i was let go recently due to a so called job cut i found out few days later they hired someone to take my position and hours etc no one else was let go i beleave that they told me a b/s excuse i dont care about the job or anything but was wondering if their is anyway to know the real reason that they just let me go i did call the owner up to see if he could tell me but i heard nothing

As a general matter, an employee may be terminated for any reason or no reason at all, and the employer need not supply the real reason (or any reason).
