QUESTION

web designer sabotaged my SEO what can I do?

Asked on Sep 05th, 2014 on Business Litigation - California
More details to this question:
First thing that happened was my quote form on website never worked and it caused potential customers to go elsewhere. Second, they got my company removed from Google search. Making the company practically invisible in searches. These problems started about a year ago. I sold the co. in April, and the problems continue. Another co. is doing detective work to get proof of Google issue. These are people I know. I invested in their company. The investment was changed to a loan. This is what they did in response. Can I sue? How much would be reasonable to expect in a lawsuit? They owe me $90,000 in loans. I was very stupid. There isn't anyway to get someone to buy that loan is there? I would be happy to get 80% of the money if I could get it right now. Are you going to send an answer in email. Please respond. Thank you for your time.

Hi Lisa,   I am a little bit confused about your situation, but it sounds like you maybe have two issues. One is that you have an outstanding loan that is not being paid. You would almost certainly have a claim to file a lawsuit and recover the amounts that are due on the loan.  I don't totally understand the SEO issue since you no longer own the company that is impacted. I would need further explanation before I get back to you on that. Presumably you are alleging that they have manipulated the the search process so that yoru company is basically buried? Let me know if you would like assistance. Thanks,Jon
