What are the legal and licensing requirements for operating an interstate and intrastate moving business in Rhode Island

we need to know if there are a limited number of licenses available to operate a moving business in ri. also what are the licensing requirements if the business is already established in another part of the country. would it be set up as a foreign corporation in RI if its headquarters is in FL

You will need to be licensed by the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission. There is no theoretical limit to the number of licenses available. If you conduct material operations in Rhode Island as a foreign corporation, yo will need to qualify.
