What can I do I am a small business owner completed a Job over 30 days and have not be paid from the contractor

I own my own business I work as a cribber I am the only worker. I finished a job over 30 days ago. I was told that I would be paid on completion of the Job. I have done work in the past for this company and found that they are somewhat slow on payment but never in the past has it taken this long. I have spoken to them several times in regards to pay and have been told that it would be tomorrow or the next couple of days. So my question " What can I do? " I want to be paid but still would like to have a working relationship with this company. I just don't want to be pushed around and step on. I want to be respected as a business as I do them ( fading quickly) please help me and point me in the right direction I live in Alberta, Canada.
