What does response filed means

More details to this question:
I tried to sue my ex partner because when I left the business she owed me 14,000 and I left the lease for her and I paid the landlord 14,000 to get out of the lease. She signed a paper saying that she owes me the money and will give it to me after selling the business I filed a lawsuit against her and I received a message saying that response was filed from her part what does this mean and what do I need to do

Is this litigation in small claims court or superior court?  You can check the court's website to see what response was filed.  A response to your complaint can be a demurrer, a motion to quash, an answer, etc.  You should be served with the response, but you can get a copy from the clerk's office or online. What you do next depends on so many factors that it's impossible to give you an answer here.  Your best move would probably be to hire an attorney.
