I tried to sue my ex partner because when I left the business she owed me 14,000 and I left the lease for her and I paid the landlord 14,000 to get out of the lease. She signed a paper saying that she owes me the money and will give it to me after selling the business I filed a lawsuit against her and I received a message saying that response was filed from her part what does this mean and what do I need to do

Is this litigation in small claims court or superior court? You can check the court's website to see what response was filed. A response to your complaint can be a demurrer, a motion to quash, an answer, etc. You should be served with the response, but you can get a copy from the clerk's office or online.
