More details to this question:
I was served two subpoenas from a lawyer firm that is representing a company that has a judgement against me. They were seeking records on income and profit and loss sheets. I am making payments on that judgement and my lawyer said that i didn't have to go to court. He assured me those were just procedure and that we are making payments all is well. I was just served for contempt of court and the firm is seeking punishment. My lawyer says that we have to show up but i do not need to bring anything. What can i do. I never would have missed those court appearances had he not advised me.
You should follow the advice of your attorney, once again. As a general matter, the fact that you followed the advice of your attorney on the previous occasions will provide a fairly strong defense to you. Discuss this with your attorney immediately.
